The aroma is just a hint of sweet and umami. It is so mild that you can hardly feel it.
The mouthfeel is smooth and lightly sweet. It is a classic type, the opposite of fruity, but with a beautiful taste. It is dry, just like Shizuoka.
The sweetness is not as strong as one would expect, but it comes out surprisingly well along with the umami. The sweetness remains until the end, but in the second half, the umami, alcohol and a hint of bitterness spread out and cut through like a dry wine. The sweetness and umami lingers in the aftertaste.
The W I drank earlier was 17% alcohol, but my sense of it was about 15%. On the other hand, this one, on the other hand, is 16% alcohol but feels like 18%. It is very hot and spicy.
If I were to compare it to Ghibli, it would be like Goemon from "Cagliostro's Castle. He is a hard man who cuts everything in a straight line. But he also has a surprisingly sweet side, and it's cute how he unintentionally says things like, "He's so cute.
