On the way to Cape Kamui on the Shakotan Peninsula, I saw a sign for sake that caught my eye. When I see a sign for sake, I have to stop by. Sake made from Hokkaido-grown rice, polished to 70 The sweet and umami taste disappears smoothly as if it contained green apple juice, and the sharp acidity has a bitter grain return aroma. At room temperature, astringency also appears. It is a dry version of Yoichi's Shield🍾 and goes well with meat and potatoes made with oyster sauce. Purchased at Seicomart in Bikuni Unfortunately, it was raining at our destination, Cape Kamui, but if it had been sunny, we might have been able to see the beautiful Shakotan blue! As with Shiretoko, be careful of the triangular waves here: ⚠️
