It's been a while since I've had a sake from Gunma, Ousai from Takasaki City. I bought it at a local supermarket when I was on a business trip.
Contrary to expectations, this classic sake from a brewery famous for its macho series is not classic and is refreshing and easy to drink. It has a full-bodied banana-like sweetness and acidity, without much dryness. It is not assertive, but it is an excellent sake as a food sake.
