I found Masukagami in the neighborhood (in Kamo city) of the liquor store I stopped by last week when I went shopping in Niigata (Echino Yukitsubaki is also in the neighborhood). Of course, the liquor store also had Muskagami, so I bought it.
It is fresh on the palate, and the umami and karami rush in with a bang. It retains the Niigata sake flavor, while at the same time it has a modern feel. No wonder it was so popular at the Sake-no-jin.
