More to come, SENKYO in Edo back to back.
This time it is SENKYO Retro!
This is the first time for me to taste the name "Retro," and I might have been looking forward to it the most.
According to Kai of Sakélabo Tokyo, it tastes similar to the old Sentori, and there was a catchphrase "sweet and sour, love it. Mr. Masato Usui also said that it was inspired by the taste of that time.
As someone who does not know the old Sentori, I was really looking forward to it.
As for the taste, it is a sweet and sour sake. It tastes like a lime sour and is a bit close to the Kabutomushi that we have had so far.
Since it is a sake brewed from a traditional sake yeast yeast, it has a deep flavor and is very drinkable.
It is amazing that such a sake can become a standard sake, and I am very much looking forward to seeing how the moka-hashiroshi version of Kabutomushi will taste like.
I am very happy to see the return of a sweet and sour sake that has been missing from the standard sake or has faded in the midst of change.
I used to be all about seasonal sake, but not anymore lol.
I would buy it again! Thanks for the treat!
