Otokoyama which I bought on a business trip to Hokkaido until yesterday.
It was supposed to be shipped to the North American market, and it is popular as a VERY DRY sake there.
When I drank it, it was indeed very dry. It is very clear and sharp. It's like a melon that hasn't fully ripened, or a melon with just a little bit of umami.
Personally, I think this dry taste is too much, and I want to feel the flavor more.
I was thinking that it might be good if I ate something light like albacore tuna as an entree, but what I was eating was chicken thigh meat and green onion.
Or drink it like a beer to wash out your mouth.
