The aroma is herbal sweet and cemedine. There is also a slight woody and herbal note. Quite fresh and powerful!
On the palate, there is plenty of sugary sweetness and a fresh bitterness with a hint of herbs! It spreads out quickly, and the alcohol is also a big hit! This is strong!
It is not fresh, but rather a powerful breath of life. Not only is the alcohol content strong, but so is the flavor, so a chaser is a must.
A similar sake is Kikusui Funaguchi, which also comes in the same can. It is also a 19% pure sake and has a strong sweet and bitter taste. This one is a bit more refined.
To be honest, it is a very selective sake. If you don't like strong sake, it would be better to stay away from it. But on the other hand, if you like Kikusui Funaguchi, I highly recommend it.
To use a Ghibli analogy, it is the Shishigami from "Princess Mononoke. He is the god of the forest who is powerful and controls life and death. His face is also very strong. You can feel the dynamism of life.
