Takatsugu
It comes in the unusual form of a set of two bottles (really two bottles, tied together with a string). Today, we opened a bottle of Yamadanishiki kijoshu brewed in 2023.
It has an impressive soft and elegant sweetness, reminiscent of the Japanese confectionery "rakugan" (fallen geese). It is refreshing and can be enjoyed on its own or as an aperitif.
Compared to the three-year aged Kijoshu in the set, it is easier to drink because it does not have the aroma and acidity of aging. However, since we can't wait three years, it is difficult to make a true comparison.
I hope to encounter Nitoshi's kijoshu again. Delicious: ‼️
