This is a summer sake, bought during a trip in August. It is the second brewery of the five Suwa breweries.
The label says fruity, refreshing, light, etc., but what?
It has a packaged sake-like sake smell and doesn't feel like a ginjo? It happens sometimes, this kind of thing. Is it original or has the quality changed in a strange way? I don't know in every single case 🤷♂️.
I bought it on the last day of my trip and kept it in the fridge the whole time, so there should be no fault here. For the most part, it doesn't need to be refrigerated.
The Reito brewery had a large parking lot and sold beer as well as sake. When I asked for a quick recommendation, I was introduced to a standard sake or summer sake, which I bought. This brewery also went through a civil rehabilitation about 10 years ago. Sake is a tough business.
Shinshu Gokura was running an interesting program where you could buy a 2,000 yen Gokuraku set and tour the breweries for a sake tasting, but since I was not allowed to taste the sake at Corona and was given a cup of sake, and since I could not use the Shinshu Wari coupon, it seemed stupid to buy sake, so I just went to the brewery and bought the sake as usual. I could use the coupon for regular purchases. I would like to stay nearby after the Corona restrictions are over.
