わらびもち
I tried it because it was a new test brew from Maruhi. We were told to be careful when opening the bottle, so we opened it slowly over several minutes. It fizzed and almost blew like cola or cider.
The color was cloudy white like Calpis, and the taste was like a cider with a solid acidic base and a touch of sweetness, Marufei, plus a squishy carbonation, which made the drink as smooth as a cider. The sweetness was somewhat subdued, but this may have been due to the strong carbonation. However, it was also delicious.
I bought it by mail order, but looking at the label, it seems to be sold only in Akita Prefecture.
