くるまや
I purchased this sake at a sake brewery in Zenkoji's neighborhood to commemorate my once-every-seven-years visit to Zenkoji's Gokaicho temple. It is a junmai ginjo with a gorgeous, gentle flavor, just like the colors of the Buddhist flag on the box design. It has a pear-like aroma that wafts through the nose, and while it has a mellow, umami taste, it is smooth and easy on the palate. It is delicious!
It is known as "Zenkoji's sake," and its well-balanced, royal taste is a reminder of the belief that half-baked sake is unacceptable.
