This is a sake I've been curious about for a long time, and ever since I saw a pop-up at a liquor store that said it went well with a variety of meals, including fried chicken, I've been determined to try it.
The aroma is almost imperceptible, it's what you would call a sake aroma. When you taste it, you can feel some acidity and alcohol. The bitterness is rather strong and the flavor opens up quickly.
Even so, the finish is very crisp and does not drag.
It may be an exaggeration, but it is like a different kind of sake. However, at the end, it has a sharpness that reminds you of the dryness you almost forgot, even if only for a moment.
It would be great if you paired it with a meal like this... Since it is autumn, I paired it with sauteed fish (the price has gone up this year).
It seems to go well with grilled fish in general. And personally, I think the best match is fried food. Karaage is the best!
Cold sake is the best!
