For Christmas this year, we had a sake drinking contest.
Yukinokayasha is very refreshing and easy to drink, which is typical of Akita sake. I think it would be better with nabe (hot pot) or other strong flavored snacks rather than sashimi. Or maybe something like iburi-gakko cheese?
In this case, I think it went very well with bonito tataki. The aroma of the okoge makes the sake go on.
