I'm completely addicted to summer sake these days. It's been extremely hot all over Japan today. Even in my city, Sapporo, the temperature is so high that I might die without air conditioning. It is the summer sake of the Nanamizu which I bought by the recommendation of the liquor store in such a situation. It is the raw sake of the Junmai Ginjo standard though it is the use of the rice which is not equal. I'm sure those who understand it will be able to tell the difference in taste, but I don't really understand it myself. I'm sure it's the result of the skill of the brewery and the rice farmer, because even sake made from unapproved rice tastes very good (hiding my stupid tongue). The aroma is citrusy and fluffy. When you put it in your mouth, you will feel a peachy sensation, and welcome sourness, but it is fruity and refreshing. This is the kind of thing that proceeds on a hot summer night. Sea. It makes me want to go to the sea. Not the mountains, but the sea. With such a feeling, I remembered the sweet and sour summer of my school days. For me, the sweet and sour citrus came, and when it went down my throat, a little bit of alcohol came out and I said goodbye immediately, but the citrus was still there. It's not too harsh, so I can go on and on, but tomorrow is Monday, and I have to work. I haven't forgotten. I haven't forgotten, but I feel like forgetting. Such a drink. Cheers.
