Manjukagami J55 (J-GoGo) Sokujo Fast brewing Rice:Niigata Prefecture Koshi-tanrei, Koshiibuki Rice polishing ratio: 55 Alcohol percentage: 16 Koshitanrei is a cross between Yamadanishiki and Gohyakumangoku rice. My preference is for Gohyakumangoku, but I like both, so I was surprised to find a sake made with such an innovative rice! I was so excited to be able to buy a bottle of this sake! Juicy melon, peach and papaya aroma 🥹. The taste of rice is mild on the palate, but it is instantly broken by the acidity and bitterness. The aftertaste is refreshing and clean! I hear that Niigata's sake is often light, but I didn't know that was the case! I thought so! It is aromatic, yet light and refreshing. It is different from the local sake from Fukui Prefecture and tastes great 😋😋😋😋😋😋.
