When opened, the bottle pooh-poohs.
Medium gasiness
Slight guava-like top note
The mild aroma, which is not so fruity as to be called "fruity", the firm umami of rice, and the moderate sweetness spread quickly with a refreshing acidity, and then it finishes quickly with a rather firm bitterness and a sense of alcohol.
It can be served with food or as a stand-alone sake.
On the second day, the "sizzle" sensation subsides, and the balance is mellowed.
It gives the impression of being refreshing, yet deeply delicious.
It went well with fried chicken with ponzu sauce, macaroni salad, and miso soup with Chinese cabbage.
It also went well with pasta with homemade meat sauce.
The appropriate pomegranate lassi (8.5 points), made with Dairy Kingdom Tokachi Jersey yogurt and Meiraku's 100% pomegranate, was good for sobering up.
