It's a three-day weekend. I have no particular plans, so I will enjoy drinking as usual.
Today, I will have my first Eiko-Fuji here. Has it been around for a while? The label design looks like a band's CD jacket.
The aroma is sweet and sour like berries. It is slightly pink because of the red yeast. On the palate, it is berry sweet and sour, like a rosé wine. It reminds me of rosé no yukidoke. As a sweet tooth, this is totally my favorite 🫶✨It is creamy and refreshing like strawberry shortcake.
The sake level is a menacing -66. Red yeast is less fermentable, so it seems to leave more sugar and lower alcohol content🤔I would like to try more sweet sake made with red yeast 😋.
It is delicious with Italian dishes such as pizza and Bolognese pasta, just like a rosé wine. Bono‼︎
