Ramune. When I think of summer, I feel old at the time of writing that I am old enough to remember those marbles.
I spend my days not drinking and not being able to drink. Sake for the first time in a long time is surprising and gratifying.
It is wonderful to describe the sweetness in this way. There is an expression that it has lost its carbonation, but then, what does it taste like when the carbonation that has been lost is chilled again? Yes, such a taste, and I am so narrow-minded in my tastes and thoughtfulness.
It really is an adventure, a season, and a good drink.
Ah, summer is short. Life is short.
So I am thankful for the sake I can drink today, and for the environment in which I can drink it.
