The first time I drank ogara-mi was at "Ganki". The slightly cloudy white color with lees dancing around is fun just to look at. It is a pleasure just to watch the lees dancing on the surface. It is light and fluffy on the palate. It has a freshness that is typical of nama-zake. The sweetness is the main flavor, and the aroma of rice that escapes through the nose at the end of drinking is wonderful. It was a perfect match with chestnut with astringent skin fried.
