An excellent sake born in Yaizu, with a world-class reputation and sake brewing. Isohaman Sake Brewery was established in 1830 and is very popular for its gorgeous fruity aroma and deep flavor. About 70% of the brewing water comes from the Oigawa River, which originates from the three peaks of Hakumine in the Southern Alps and Mount Manodake. Yamada-Nishiki is the most commonly used sake rice. The blue bottles are brewed from different sections of rice paddies using Yamadanishiki produced in Tojo, Hyogo Prefecture, and are an attempt to incorporate the AOC (appellation of wine regions) of the wine world into sake.
