The Kamotsuru Sake Brewery is the third brewery we visited in Saijo, the sake capital of Japan.
The Kamotsuru Gold, with its round, solid silhouette and low center of gravity, stands out on the shelves of the supermarket.
We were served this brand, which is only sold at six special distributors nationwide and here.
Akane Hiroshima Nishiki (Junmai), a classic type.
Ai: Omachi (special junmai) Somewhat classic, clean and tasty acidity. More acidic than Akane.
Orange Hachitan 35 (Junmai Ginjo) Clean, weak character, easy to drink.
Ugui Yamadanishiki (Junmai Daiginjo) Soft and sweet, with a unique junmai mouthfeel, but the price is 2.5 times higher than the others, which is a bottleneck.
Many of them are labeled 100 yen per cup, except for the premium priced ones, which are very reasonable.
Mini rice fields at the entrance of the building, Akiromann, Hiroshima's resident rice, and Yamadanishiki are grown, reminding us that Yamadanishiki grows tall, I knew it.
There were many, but not all, of the brands we tasted, and we felt that this brewery is one of the largest and best-funded in Saijo.
The fourth one, "Ao Saae," which I was attracted to because of the words "raw sake," was a mature sake with a bit of a peculiar taste, but lacking in characteristics.
