<Sweet, sour, bitter, easy to drink, dry, zuzu zun zun.
It has been a long time since we last had Mansaku. This sake is made by Hinomaru Jozo in Akita Prefecture.
This brand name was created in 1981 when the NHK morning drama series "Mansaku no Hana" was aired in Yokote City.
I was curious and looked it up, and found that it was two years before "Oshin," which had the highest viewer rating in the history of TV dramas.
The aroma is faintly rice flavor.
The taste is sweet and sour, with a smooth and smooth texture. Hmmm? It is gentle even though it is labeled "dry"? But then, the taste starts to become more acidic and sweet. Then, the taste turns sour and bitter.
The sweetness is faint. It is a bit sweet, but it is not harsh. But it is not harsh, and it has a gentle dry taste. This is a sake that should be served with meals. It goes well with simmered dishes, and it seems to be good with Chinese food as well.
If I were to use a Ghibli analogy, it would be Yupa-sama from "Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind". He is the best swordsman in the frontier, and his sharpness is very sharp. However, he has a kind and gentle personality. He is loved by everyone in the Valley of the Wind.
