It is the birthplace of Masataka Taketsuru, the founder of Nikka Whiskey. This is the first sake from the Taketsuru Brewery.
When I poured it, I did not detect any ginjo aroma. There is no alcohol smell, and it has a nice aroma of pure rice.
Also, no brewing alcohol is used, and you do not feel the tanginess of alcohol on your tongue.
This is a sake that lets you taste the full flavor of the rice! This sake has a strong umami flavor.
I got the impression that this was a legitimate junmai sake, with no unnecessary impurities or flavors.
It was my first time drinking it, and it was so good!
We had a great time with the bonito tataki.
