It has the flavor of tasake itself, but with a slight spiciness that is different from the tasake we usually drink.
It is a wonderful sake, and as always, delicious.
My best friend says, "You can never go wrong with Tasake.
It is true.
I felt it was the best sake I have ever had to go with Japanese food.
I served it with gindara (silver cod) dipped in sake lees that my best friend bought all the way from Aomori.
It was worth the five days of marinating, and the sweetness and flavor of the sake soaked into the fish, making it a perfect match for the sake, especially with the Gin-Karasu.
As I have already mentioned, when drinking tasake as a food sake, miso soup made with white miso goes well with it.
(It may be my personal preference, but... I am from Aichi Prefecture and I prefer red miso soup by nature.)
Please give it a try if you like.
