Omachi is the ancestor of Yamadanishiki and Gohyakumangoku.
This junmai ginjo is made from the rare Toyama omachi rice, which is difficult to cultivate and handle, and is grown under a special contract in Toyama.
The result is a smooth and gentle flavor with a wildness unique to the native variety that is imbued with the soft airy atmosphere of Toyama.
