The retro label drew me in!
The aroma is the comfort and maturity of a wooden vat with cooked rice and hiney aroma. It also has a honey-like sweetness.
On the palate, the flavors of tortoise-shell candy, celery, and the acidity of rice vinegar spread to the palate.
When you swallow it, it becomes sharp at once while keeping the acidity and finishes with a light spiciness.
Despite the heavy aroma, the mouthfeel is surprisingly light and does not linger.
I think it will be perfect for those who like a peculiar aged feeling!
If you were to compare it to a whiskey, it would have a presence like an Islay.
It is very delicious.
