Tourmai? Not Junmai?
I was curious and picked it up at the liquor store.
As the name "Tourmai" implies, there is a different sake rice for each month of the year! The label on the back of the bottle says "This month's rice is this month's sake rice.
The Yamadanishiki version for May and the Omachi version for July were on sale at the liquor store, but as an Omachi fan, I chose this one (^^).
The label is designed with a "bird of the month + ears of rice" design, but the Yumachi version has a swan? The Omachi version has a swan? This design, combined with the ears of rice, makes it look like a phoenix or phoenix.
This design is also cool!
The taste is a little spicy and refreshing on the palate, but there is a long-lasting aftertaste as it flows down the throat.
I was impressed that even with a low rice polishing ratio of 70%, it is possible to produce such a refreshing taste.
It might be a good match with Iburi Gako (pickled ginger) or something similar.
I will drink it with a wish that it will stand up like a phoenix at work, produce results, and bloom like a flower in full bloom!
