Today we have the Macho 💪 series from our favorite sake brewery, Makino Sake Brewery.
I'm sure I'm going to get a lot of "you're buying too much ⁉️" but this year I'm going for it lol 🤣!
And that brings us to today's Yamada Nishiki 🌾.
Yamada-Nishiki is the standard of all sake rice ❗️The standard ‼️
What can we talk about ⁉️ without brewing this rice 🤔
I'm curious to see what kind of flavor the gory macho💪 has created with this standard rice 😁.
I used less than 200 words just for the preface lol.
So I'll report quickly 🤣.
When I opened the bottle...it was almost as rough as edible rice with 80% milling ratio. The aroma is not that strong 🤔When I pour it into the glass, the fresh fruity aroma is a bit unique ❓Is this the aroma of macho💪 lol😆😆.
I took a sip...... "This is it!
I thought it was a fire-entry 🔥 the moment I took a sip.... I think....it's a juiciness....
While the juiciness and umami are in a nice balance, there is also a bit of bitterness and a little bit of miscellaneous taste due to the low milled rice 🤔.
However, this bitterness is not unpleasant and easy to drink. ❗️
I guess it's because the rice milling ratio is close to that of edible rice, so it tastes more like the rice we usually eat 👍
I think I might like Gorilla🦍>Tokujun>Yamada Nishiki lol
