JIRO
A spring sake available only in Akita Prefecture.
The weather in May is no longer early summer but mid-summer, but according to the calendar it should be spring, so it's not too late.
It has a heavy mouthfeel like a pure sake, a moderate acidity, and a mild sweetness. All I can say is, "It's good, it's good! The brewer claims that it is a sake for eating, and it goes well with cheese and iburigaki (roast pork). It is an all-rounder that goes well with sashimi, grilled miso, and simmered dishes.
After being chilled to a very cold temperature, when it is brought back to room temperature, the corners are removed and it becomes a little light and refreshing. It is surprisingly easy to drink and could be called a lady-killer. This is a dangerous sake.
All Mansaku no Hana sake is delicious, and this one is no exception.
