Kuma
I couldn't buy the new Miyamanishiki sake from a certain sake brewery, so I decided to try a sake that I've been curious about for a while (as a member of the same sex...
I've seen reviews of sake made by women that say "women have a delicate taste," but that's like saying men can't have a delicate taste.)
I decided to try this Miyamanishiki for the first time.
Fine bubbles arrive in the glass, but with a modest fizziness.
It has a modest ginjo aroma, a touch of grapiness, and a nice balance between not too thin and not too thick.
It's not flashy, but it's delicious.
I thought it might be a little too sweet for a midday drink, but the sharpness is okay, so it's not stubborn.
I drank it over a period of two weeks, but the sourness didn't show until the end, and it was a beautiful sake that didn't change much.
I'd like to try other sakes made from other rice varieties.
I'd like to go see them next time I'm in Bukuro.
