I was hoping to try other types of Harushika, which I got as a gift in the spring, because it was so delicious ✨ A Harushika salesman visited my neighborhood liquor store over the weekend and let me try most of the types they brought for tasting, from Junmai Ginjo to Junmai Daiginjo Harashu. ✌️
I wanted to try the Namo Hashimoto Tsukuri, but in the end I bought this one. It is a limited time only super-harakuchi sake with an appealing aftertaste that is less cloying and more umami than the regular super-harakuchi sake. Tonight we had simmered flounder and various Japanese side dishes to go with it. The strong seasoning goes well with it.
If I have a chance to drink it next time, I would like to try it with crab miso or ankou nabe. I am sure it will go well with it. ❗️
