For some reason, I got off the Shinkansen at Takasaki and when I got out of the ticket gate, I found a souvenir shop called Iroha and dropped by. 🚶➡️
It's a big store with a lot of old and new Jyoshu souvenirs, including products from the Miyashi Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Shop ✨.
There is a sake corner at the far end of the shop, and the selection is quite good.
And in one corner, there is an automatic tasting machine with two types of Tsuchida that are only available at the store. It seems to be for a limited time only, and the price is 100 yen per glass. It seems to be sold in a different way than usual...
The one we chose was an elaborate sake, Bodai-Hashiwado and Yamahai-Hashiwado, aged for 5 years, and quite expensive ✨.
This is a pretty good deal 😆.
It tastes exactly like Tsuchida, but less peculiar and smoother than the sake I've had so far 〰︎
It has a strong acidity, fruity and sweetness, but the body is rather light and refreshing 😌.
