Nada Sake. Izumi Shuzo is the brewer of Senzuke and Hakuizumi. Izumi Shuzo occasionally releases a limited edition Izumi Challenge. First, as it is. It has a sharp taste that comes quickly, a sweetness that spreads refreshingly, and a spiciness that spreads quickly. There is a considerable sense of gas. Although it is a pure sake, it doesn't seem too harsh due to the crisp mouthfeel. How about drinking it with ice? The gaseous sensation becomes stronger, and the sweetness is preceded by a deep and refreshing acidity, and the overall flavor becomes fuller. The alcohol hit becomes a little stronger and the aftertaste is a little astringent, so some people may find it difficult to drink. It is better to drink it with ice if you want to drink something with a strong flavor. Perhaps it is because it is served quite cold that it goes down the throat so well! How about when it is warmed up? The taste is light. It has a refreshing spiciness that bounces off the palate. The sharp sweetness that follows is also interesting. It would be good to drink it on the rocks, and when you get tired of drinking it, you can warm it up and change your mood. There are many ways to enjoy it, and it is quite interesting. This Izumi Challenge has been a regular product under the Senzuke label for some time. I wonder if this sake will also become a regular product?
