Ibaraki Sake
Yui Yui Junmai Daiginjo Akaban Omachi Nama-shu 720ml
I've been drinking only Akita and Fukushima sake, so I thought I'd try some local Ibaraki sake.
Yui Yui used to be a sake brewery in Yuki City, but it was destroyed by a fire last year. Therefore, this sake is made in Hokkaido. It is made from luxurious Akaban Omachi rice, cut down to 38%.
The aroma has a hint of ginjo aroma. When you put it in your mouth, the delicious taste of rice spreads at once. The taste is not sweet, but just a little sourness. From there, there is no tangy taste, and the taste is sharp and clean.
It would go well with bonito sashimi, for example.
Akita sake is full and feminine, while Ibaraki sake is more masculine. While there are many traditional light and dry sake, this Yui Yui is not so dry, and you can fully enjoy the deliciousness of the rice.
If we were to compare him to a celebrity, he has the presence of Koji Kikkawa.
Highly recommended.
