＜A rich, aged zugga gaga, but refreshing.
This is the 5th Iwate special.
The aroma is of matured acidity. The label on the back says, "Heisei 29th Sake Brewing Year Production (May 2, 2008)". Well, Heisei 30 is 2018. 5 years aged.
The mouthfeel is mildly sweet and sour. But the moment the sake touches the air in the mouth, the sense of maturity is all at once zugga-ga-ga-ga. Lactic acidity and sweetness. In addition, the sense of alcohol is also zuban! Delicious!
The sake is as perverted as one would expect. The acidity swells and swells. But strangely enough, it is not unpleasant at all. The aftertaste is rather refreshing, with only a little acidity and bitterness...is that too much to say?
If I were to use a Ghibli analogy, it would be Dora from "Laputa: Castle in the Sky. A strong matured female air pirate. She has her own quirks. But she is surprisingly a good person and I like her in the end.
