Nigori fire-aged sake with red yeast. The label is cute. Laughing, I was told that the best way to enjoy it is to heat it up hot and then pour it over vanilla ice cream.
I first tried it cold, but it had a slight sweetness and a sourness like acerola, probably due to its color. The acidity may be quite strong. It is refreshing and easy to drink.
When heated, the acidity and umami become stronger, and the aftertaste is more refreshing. It goes well with vanilla ice cream, chocolate ice cream, and milk ice cream.
The alcohol content is low at 11%, so even those who don't like sake will enjoy drinking it.
