I've been looking for a Shinryoku from Kumamoto prefecture...! It's no longer a mirage...!
This is the strongest sake rice I've ever tasted since I drank it in a Jun Daigin of Kenkunichi a long time ago. That was also the last year to use Kumamoto-grown Shinryoku, so now it's a phantom sake. It's one of the three best sake I've ever tasted.
And now, Yamamoto. It's very powerful, but it has a very delicate and glossy taste. I was amazed at Yamamoto's ability to create such a fruity and delicate taste in a brew that tends to have a powerful body. It's like a gorilla doing rhythmic gymnastics on a trampoline...
I was worried if I would be able to drink it on the third day because the shop only stocked 4-gallon bottles, but I managed to slip in. It was still there. On the third day after opening, it was at its best. This is what I was aiming for. I don't think I could have felt the potential of this wine if it had just been opened. I was able to drink it at the perfect time and the tension was crazy... This will keep me going for another year or so... Thanks for the treat... No.1 from April to October. That's how awesome this rice is...divine power.
