Kudokibe Jr./Aiyama 33/Junmai Daiginjo 3.5 The "Jr." series, a masterpiece of our executive director. This junmai daiginjo is made from the premium sake rice "Banshu Aizan", polished to a luxurious 33%. Despite the 16-17% alcohol content, it goes down a treat. I would like to drink this chilled with a glass of wine. Thanks to this, I got quite drunk (laugh). Aizan makes the most of the rice's umami and sweetness, which are its strong points. 33% polished rice means that there is no hint of bitterness or other unpleasant tastes. The fact is that it is so polished that it is hard to differentiate it from other sake (laughs). The price of 2,420 yen including tax for sake of this level is very cosy. This sake can be confidently recommended even to those who dislike sake. It is not recommended to drink it at room temperature, as the sweetness of Banshu Aizan is too strong.
