The aroma is clean and refreshing, with a freshness typical of nama-shu.
In the mouth, it has a mild mouthfeel with a slight gassy sensation. The gentle umami spreads gradually, and the sweetness of the ogara-mi (a sweet sake made from the rice cake) rounds out the taste. At the end, a slight bitterness is felt at the back of the throat, and the aftertaste is refreshing.
It was a delicious (and dangerous) sake with a gentle sweetness and the freshness of unpasteurized sake, and you would not notice the high alcohol content.
