It's been three years since I've had a bottle of Yamakawa Mitsuo. It's a well known sake brewed jointly by four breweries, Yamagata Masamune, TATENOKAWA, Toko, and Otokoyama. The spring version is from TATENOKAWA Shuzo, a brewery that only makes Daiginjo. Because this brewery only makes a Daiginjo, it is 50% polished, so it is very easy to drink and fruity. It has a ginjo aroma that makes you feel the alcohol content is low. But it lacks one more punch! This is just an easy drink on its own... hard to do! Not an S-rank for me.
