Honjozo from a small handmade brewery in Kita-ku, Niigata City.
I used to love the Junmai (no longer made) in this series.
My first Honjozo...took a sip and...yes! It's good. I love this stuff 😆 I get excited when I unexpectedly come across a sake that I like.
Personally, I think it is the ultimate Danrei dry sake. It is smooth and has no peculiarities at all. Some people might say that it has no personality or that it's a watery sake, but I personally love this very understated, watery, gentle and easy sake. You can have as many glasses as you like, and it goes well with all kinds of snacks. Thank you very much for the food.
