When I rode the Watarase Gorge Railway, I drank it at a local izakaya and enjoyed it so much that I looked it up and found that it was a seasonal product, released in November. I bought two bottles of it. 😆.
It is said to be new sake with a muscat aroma, but although it is a nama-shu, is the new sake feeling fading?
It's a generous volume because it's a nama sake, but it goes well as a food sake!
I like sashimi, but it's an inland sake, so maybe it's not my forte, but I don't mind. It is rich with moderate umami derived sweetness and acidity, but it is crisp and refreshingly nice.
It has a kindness that reminds me of someone who is flexible enough to play with you when you want to play with him and leave you alone when you want to be alone. 😄
