The rice and koji are also produced in Yamagata Prefecture.
The rice is 100% Dewanosato, and it's a local sake that shows your love for Yamagata.
I thought I knew a lot of brands from Yamagata, but this was my first encounter with Kikuyu from Sakata.
It's a delicious sake that you can enjoy purely without any accompaniment. The alcohol content is a bit high at 17 degrees because it is undiluted sake, but it is not that alcoholic, and the mellow taste leaves a very nice aftertaste.
It is a sake that makes me want to visit Yamagata: Sakata after a long time.
