Because it was simmered dish with fu, I wanted to match it with Niigata sake.
A happy face in Sanjo.
Sanjo city is located in the middle of Niigata prefecture and is called the central area of the prefecture.
It is said that Niigata prefecture is wide and long (330km, which is equal to the distance between Tokyo and Nagoya, or Fukuoka and Kagoshima).
I've never drunk Fukugao before, and I was secretly worried that it might not be very good 😅, but my fears were completely unfounded.
It's basically Niigata's Danrei Dry, but a little sweeter, with a good balance of rice flavor, acidity, and it's good warmed up.
I'm not a big fan of the daiginjo class of sake from Niigata, but the regular and honjozo classes are all very good, and all the breweries have high quality sake for evening drinking.
This is a drink that reminded me of the fundamental power of Niigata sake.
