This is a very rare sake that is sold only at the ropeway🚡 boarding area of Shosenkyo in Yamanashi Prefecture. It is named after the mountain of Shosenkyo, and also after a toji (master brewer) who actually existed and was a great drinker. It was actually bought after climbing this mountain, and it is even more impressive to drink it while looking at the pictures of the climb. ☺️
It has a fruity aroma and sweetness, while the umami and richness of the rice are still strong.
The umami of the rice is still very strong, so it seems like it would go well with a side dish of stewed chicken meat, a specialty of Yamanashi.
However, it is a little bit too much alcohol, and there is a slight acidic taste.
Considering the price of 2,500 yen for a bottle of No. 4, I must say that it is a bit disappointing.
