Souvenir Sake from Beppu Trip No.4
I bought this at Tokiwa Beppu Store, a department store in Oita.
Hana-Shomomi is almost never seen outside of Oita Prefecture. We hope you will try it when you come to Oita.
On the label of each sake is a flower that is similar to its image. The Junmai sake is called "Kasumisou," and the language of flowers is "innocence" and "pure heart.
First at room temperature.
It is a little heavy and slightly dry, just like a Japanese sake. However, there is a hint of gentleness to it.
When heated, the outline rounded out and the spiciness gradually became apparent, albeit mildly.
As the official description says, it has a "soft, yet slightly mischievous taste. If I were to use an analogy, it would be more female than male, and athletic at that.
