<Elegant, soft and gentle floral
Princess Michiko is a rose variety presented by Queen Elizabeth of England to Michiko, then Crown Princess. The name "Princess Michiko" comes from the rose yeast PM-1 isolated from the rose by Tokyo University of Agriculture.
What kind of sake is this? Well, let's have some.
The aroma is elegant, sweet, and soft. It has a gentle, floral, and aromatic aroma.
The mouthfeel is soft, sweet and sour. It softly fills the mouth and then softly fades away again. What remains afterwards is also an elegant floral aroma.
It was a soft, gentle, and elegant sake.
It is possible that the name of the sake has made people think so, but if the brewery uses this kind of yeast, they will want to make such a sake.
If I were to use a Ghibli analogy, I would compare it to Yuki in "Neko no Onna-chan" (The Cat Returns). In Ghibli, the princess who is elegant, kind, from a commoner's background, and marries a prince would be this girl. She is a cat, though. She is a gentle and dainty white cat.
