It was pure rice wine made from edible rice, not sake rice.
I bought it at my local supermarket.
It seems to have won a gold medal at the National Kanzake Contest 2020 in the value-priced lukewarmed category.
It costs just under 900 yen for a four-pack.
I had it cold, and it was light on the palate, with a medium to slightly dry taste.
When I had it warmed up...
It's just as smooth as the chilled version.
We served it with pickled chayote.
