The sweetness and accompanying acidity are accompanied by an assertive astringency. The wine has a high extract content, but it is very viscous in a wine glass. I could feel the maximum flavor at room temperature. Not quite Sauternes, but I'd like to drink it with a plate of sautéed foie gras with a berry sauce. I'll take it with my ever-present snack of Kure Soba, Kaeri Chirimen, fried in Ondoura!
