The name is a combination of "Shocho," meaning a sign of good fortune, "Choshi," meaning a sake bottle, and "Choshi," meaning a sake bottle, and "Cho," meaning a sign of good fortune. The third generation created the brand name "Shocho" at the end of the Taisho era (1912-1926), and the two brands were sold together until the 1960s, but they were unified into "Shocho" from 1965 onward.
It is characterized by its lack of distinctive features. It has a mild taste, but it is not particularly spicy, sweet, sour, or bitter. The spiciness gradually covers the tongue afterwards. It is rather a dry sake.
This is the 599th one-cup, one-pack festival.
